Hey guys,
There could have been a bad day/ moment and even though we know that there is no use of getting hung up on those times, we tend to cling on longer than we would like. So, it is nice to have a reset day or even a reset action that could help you get back on track to conquer the day. I do few things myself to click the reset button to my life whenever I feel stagnant or stuck. There will be a separate post about many of the things I discussed below, this is just an overview.
1. Taking a walk in the nature:
I love feeling the wind against my body and breathing in the air that carries the mystic fragrances of various leaves, soil and flowers automatically cleanses my aura.
2. Drinking lots of water:
Everyday we hear about the benefits of drinking sufficient water to maintain homeostasis. Best is to add a cut lime or lemon in water. People also use coffee or tea as the medium to reset the moment.
3. Morning pages:
Morning pages is the best outlet for my thoughts. It is by far the best method of mindfulness for me. For more information about it, please read the book Artist's way by Julia Cameron.
4. Getting in touch with my spiritual self:
Many people meditate, practice yoga. I personally prefer breathing exercise, following the breathing closely and slowly getting rid of random thoughts, then bringing the divinity into my thoughts.
5. Expressing my creativity:
Creativity brings the liveliness out of me. I would be the happiest after finishing up a piece of my poem. I write and i feel the elevation of energy to the highest level.
6. Eating a wholesome breakfast:
Nothing can replace a wholesome fibre-rich nutritious breakfast any day. I personally love apple smoothie and overnight oats and chia seeds with lots of berries. When I feel greedy, a multigrain toast with butter!
7. Brain dumping:
This is a technique I learnt couple years back and yet the most useful tool to declutter my thoughts. It is a simple technique to write all ideas, worries, plans and fears that come up and then map them/ group them based on priorities/ necessities.
8. Taking a nourishing bath:
Either a hot shower or a warm bath (If I have the luxury of time), always helps me shed the past and think about ideas than the past events.
9. De-gitizing:
Sometimes, getting swamped in the pile of close to useless things on social media occupies the major part of our brain's productivity. I would mostly avoid any digital gadgets until I reset my brain.
10. Waking up early:
This should have been the first point I suppose. Whenever the previous day was crappy, I choose to wake up early the next day and go ahead with my productive morning routine. If you get your work done even before others get off of bed, that is to me a great start for the day!
Tell me what your reset routine is in the comments below!
