How I measure personal growth- My checklist to rate progress
Progress over Perfection!
I have been reading up on personal development and ways to improve my quality of life and success, I have stumbled upon several straightforward and often contradictory ideologies from various scientists, neurosurgeons, social researchers, personal development authors, and spiritual writers alike. But, how can I track my growth? What are the qualities that constitute well-rounded progress through life? I tried to find answers and after some brainstorming, I came up with a checklist. Here is a list of 45 questions I ask myself to get better one step at a time.
Is this action governed by my cognition or impulse?
Do I feed my microbiome with nourishing food?
Do I reflect on the day and learn from it?
Do I invest time in moving forward in my career path?
Does my body feel active and energetic?
Do I experience the World outside of the usual setting?
Do I connect with nature at least once a week?
Did I express my love to my loved ones today?
Who should I remove or stay away from, in my life?
Do I spend some quality time with my loved ones?
Do my home and the things around me evoke a pleasant feeling?
Do I live minimally?
Do I have an enriching morning routine?
Do I enjoy every bite of my food during every meal?
Does my vision board excite me today?
Do I utilize the stimulus-action gap to obtain the best outcome?
Do I indulge in enhancing my creative self?
Have I taken steps to move towards 'that' Big Goal?
Did I strike a balance between the left and the right brain today?
Did I learn anything new today?
Did I record my new learnings for the day in my 'Work In Progress notebook?
How can I incorporate what I learned into my day-to-day activity?
Am I smarter than yesterday?
Am I working towards leaving the Earth better than before for at least a handful of people?
How can I help someone today?
How can I help my daughter obtain well-rounded growth?
How can I make my child, a better person?
Do I connect with the higher power often?
How many times a week, do I heartfully meditate?
Can I perceive higher vibrations better than before?
Do I have my Ikigai right?
Am I taking action toward doing the things that I talk about?
Do I stay true to my intentions and principles?
How can I improve myself?
What is the worst-case scenario of this action at hand?
Do I have my Ego at the check?
Am I able to visualize prosperity?
Do I push myself beyond my comfort zone every day?
Do I perform difficult things to train my body and brain?
Do I surround myself with positive and good people?
Do I realize the value of time on Earth?
Does my action align with what a dying man would choose to do?
What am I saying no to, by saying yes to this task?
Am I mindful right now?
What will I regret if I die tomorrow?
